It is their God given role as it comes naturally. This is seen in the way parents show love and commitment to their children when they are undergoing difficulties. Consequently, they score highly compared to formal teachers because they take good care of the infants until they attain the school going age of three to four years. For instance, during this period, a child learns how to speak, how to use the toilet, how to greet visitors and how to walk, just to mention a few. Teachers score poorly compared to parents when it comes to the role of teaching children best practices. The reason behind this is that teachers handle several children at once. Therefore, there is likelihood that they are not committed emotionally to the needs of each child. Furthermore, teachers follow a rigid curriculum based on arithmet ic, reading and writing (Kimmel 138). This limits their ability to balance between the emotional and curriculum needs of school going children. On the contrary, objective parents are best suited to take good care of children, both psychologically and emotional wise. This is for the betterment of the childà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s behaviour when growing into adulthood, a stage that calls for maturity and respect of the law.
